Just before our first meeting Petal and John found out they were moving back to New York. Fast forward a couple months and many emails we decided it would be much easier for me to fly to New York for their engagement session and well, I wasn't about the argue :) It's where their relationship began making it the perfect location. Fast forward a few more months and I was on a plane heading to NYC for a 24 hour adventure with an incredible couple.
We had a pretty ambitious plan for the day, but I knew it would be worth it. We met at their place in Brooklyn and quickly set out for Central Park for some incredible light and greenery. We had to share our trail with a wild bunch of miniature scavenger hunters, but we made it work and the photos could not have been more beautiful.
An Uber later we found ourselves back in Brooklyn. Ready for a breather we knocked out a couple slices of pizza and set out to explore Dumbo. We battled the wind for a while and then decided to head back to their place to freshen up. The day ended on a pier with a perfect view of the Statue of Liberty. The sunset was gorgeous, I was exhausted and we were all hungry. With a belly full of awesome BBQ I slept for a few hours and then it was off the airport to catch the first flight out.
To say this trip was a whirlwind would be a serious understatement, but it was worth every bit of exhaustion. Petal and John were so much fun to work with and I can't wait for the Palm Springs wedding next month.
Enjoy.
