Emilie grew up visiting the Mission San Juan Capistrano and when we started discussing locations for their engagement shoot it was one of her first choices. She said she wanted a dramatic background and well this place certainly fulfills that request. We only had an hour to photograph in the mission and while that may sound like a lot I could have spent eight hours in there with this couple. Everywhere you look there is a gorgeous background just begging to be photographed. 

Emilie and Ben are two incredibly genuine people with a beautiful love for one another. One of my favorite things to do when photographing a couple is to ask them to forget about the camera and just talk to each other, make each other laugh and have fun. It's usually during this time that I get some of my favorite photos of the session. These two did such a great job of forgetting about the camera that I had to wrangle them back in a few times. I love it when that happens! 

I truly believe I have one of the best jobs ever. I get to hangout with amazing people in beautiful locations and document some of the most special times in their lives. Emilie and Ben will be my first wedding in 2016 and it can't come soon enough.
