I'm always fascinated by the journey life takes us on, particularly how two individuals come to meet and fall in love. Lisa and Gabi's story is one of the most intriguing I have come to know in quite some time. Lisa was born in Tokyo and raised in Indiana. Gabby was born in Israel and then moved with his family to Northern California. The two found each other in New York City while Gabi was getting his masters at Columbia. I'm a believer in fate and it's stories like this that solidify my belief.

I first met this beautiful couple in August. They flew into Palm Springs from San Francisco to meet potential vendors and I was lucky enough to be one of them. I had a terrible cold and left the meeting feeling less than confident about the impression I had made. Fortunately, they chose to book me and I could not be more excited to photograph their wedding next year. 

Lisa and Gabi decided they wanted to have their engagement session in Palm Springs. On the day of the shoot we had high winds and the threat of rain. We started our day at Alcazar Palm Springs and then moved into the hills above Palm Springs. Luckily we were able to find some shelter from the wind and the threat of rain turned into an incredible sky and perfect lighting. All in all it was an amazing engagement session filled with love and laughter.
