As a photographer I love it when I have the opportunity to photograph a friend's wedding. I have known Nicole since high school and ended up going to the same college without realizing it. When she told me she was getting married and wanted me to photograph it I was beyond honored. 

The love Nicole and Donnie have for one another is so evident in their playful nature. Oscar Wilde once said, "Life is too important to be taken seriously." This beautiful, light-hearted couple seemed to have figured that out long ago. From throwing their hands in the air at the excitement of being announced husband and wife, to literally smashing wedding cake in each others' faces (I mean they really took it to a new level), Nicole and Donnie showed their true fun-loving colors. Giggling at one another during the shoot, Nicole and Donnie made photographing them and their love fun and easy. 

When it came to the reception, they really threw one BIG party! With beer signs and dirtbike cake toppers in the mix, this charming, rustic wedding also had an outrageous party vibe. If giving out beer koozies as wedding favors doesn't say "We love to party!" then I don't know what does.

Family and friends were overjoyed to support and celebrate this beautiful couple. Overall, it was the deliberate simplicity of Nicole and Donnie's celebration that allowed the love for one another to shine through. I wish them a lifetime of love and laughter together.
